The Cross-Bay Ferry is resumed service November 1 with new hours, prices and docking locations.

The ferry will operate Tuesday through Sunday and make late evening trips. These new hours will accommodate for passengers that go to dinner late or attend hockey games in Amalie Arena.

The price of an adult, one-way ticket is now $8, two dollars less than the ferry’s fare two years ago. Tickets for children ages four and below are $3. College students, seniors, military members and veterans will receive a discount and only have to pay $5 for a one-way trip.

The ferry will dock at different locations on both sides of the bay due to construction.

In St. Petersburg, the ferry will no longer dock near the downtown pier. Its new location is at North Yacht Basin at approximately 418 Bayshore Drive NE, near the Vinoy Marina.

In Tampa, the ferry will dock behind the Florida Aquarium, located at 701 Channelside Drive, instead of the Tampa Convention Center. This new location comes with its perks, for there will be no blackout dates. Previously, the ferry would not run during major events such as Gasparilla and New Year’s Eve. Now, the ferry will be able to run during major events in Tampa.

Passengers coming from Tampa can board the ferry at Berth 271. This dock provides access to not only the aquarium, but also the Tampa Bay History Center and the up-and-coming Sparkman Wharf.

The ferry has services scheduled through April 30, 2019. Services during Christmas time may be different than normal hours of operation. Passengers can see the schedule on the Cross-Bay ferry’s website.
