One of the Last Waterfront Luxury Communities on Tampa Bay Announced
Impact Properties has announced the launch of Hammock Bay in Apollo Beach. Luxury builders Bartlett Custom Homes and Tide Homes are set to begin construction on 47 homes in October 2025. As one of the last waterfront communities on Tampa Bay, Hammock Bay will offer large homesites with direct dock access.
Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital is Expanding
The $62 million expansion project will introduce a 28,000-square-foot facility located at the corner of Fifth Avenue South and Sixth Street South. Construction is set to begin this spring, with completion anticipated by July 2026. The new facility will feature six emergency center rooms and the second floor will house All Children’s Hospital’s four largest operating suites.
MOSI to Open Second-Largest Digital Dome Planetarium in America
MOSI, Tampa’s Museum of Science & Industry, is launching a multi-million-dollar project to create a new Digital Dome Theatre. Powered by 10 cutting-edge Christie digital projectors, it will offer sharper, brighter and more immersive visuals than the outdated film technology last used in 2017. The theatre will also serve as the new Saunders Planetarium, increasing capacity from 46 to over 300 guests.
The Nation’s Largest Sports Entertainment Community Planned for Pasco County
Storyland Studios, a global experience and strategy firm with clients like Walt Disney, Universal Studios, and LEGOLAND, has announced plans to create one of the largest sports entertainment destinations in the U.S. in Pasco County. The 800+ acre project will combine sports, arts, and health facilities, featuring a professional soccer stadium, ice arena, 7,500-seat baseball stadium, basketball arena, training complex, adventure park and various collegiate and amateur sports venues.
Tampa Bay’s First Surf Park to Debut in 2027
Peak Surf Park, set to open in late 2027, will span 35 acres along State Road 56, just east of Wesley Chapel and a quarter-mile west of US 301. Its centerpiece will be a surf lagoon featuring advanced technology to generate large swells.
