ABOUT ME
A few years ago, I opened up a dual barber shop and hookah lounge. It quickly outgrew the space. I decided to combine my love for food, exploration and lifestyle into the birth of 7th + Grove.
Coming from a lineage of Tampa entrepreneurs, it was important that I rooted my business here. Tampa is Florida’s best-kept secret for luxurious real estate, fine dining and an overall work/life balance.
MY LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
My favorite destination to experience arts and culture is Ybor City. From the cigar rollers lining 7th Ave, to our weekend fresh market at Centennial Park, it is a blessing to be a part of such a thriving historic district.
For shopping, Accent Styles Boutique is fabulous.
My family and I love Tampa’s Riverwalk. The art installations with the city’s rich Black history are great history lessons that I share with my children. We also love the Tampa Bay History Museum and the Carter G. Woodson Museum in St. Petersburg.
For dessert, we are frequent patrons of our dear friend Faronda Davis’s Cake Drip. She recently opened a private social club, The Adnoraf, and it’s gorgeous.
My guilty pleasure is Ben + Jerry’s in Midtown.
The perfect Sunday includes waking up to my beautiful boys Christian and Danny, training with Jon Crafton of T1N Fitness and then grabbing breakfast from Eggs Up Grill. I’d walk my dogs down to Perry Harvey Sr. Park, then stop by Mangos Cafe for lunch and a watermelon tea. Eventually, we’d cook a pasta dinner from our friends at Pasta Packs.
