Join us on Sunday, January 12, for the 6th Annual Tampa Oyster Fest presented by the Triad Foundation. Doors open at 1:00pm and guests will enjoy an all inclusive experience with unlimited oysters, specialty cocktails, live music, wine tastings, games and more. Whether you’re a seafood enthusiast or just looking for a fun Sunday afternoon with the family, this event is for you!
Attendees will enjoy a fusion of bluegrass, Appalachian, and Americana music from headliner Pony Bradshaw plus local artists Fil Pate and The Applebutter Express. Pony Bradshaw has a unique talent for storytelling, soulful guitar and Americana sound. Whether it was in the Air Force, during his time as a journalist, or at an open-mic night, this Eastern Texas native has spent his life exploring. His latest endeavor brought him to the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains where the storied history of the Cherokee people is exemplified in his latest album Thus Spoke the Fool.
On the menu: This year’s event offers two all inclusive ticket choices; the Pearl Experience and the Diamond Experience.
The Pearl Experience features fresh oysters, shucked on site for maximum flavor. Whether you prefer them chargrilled, steamed, in a shooter or from the raw bar, the event is your oyster – you just have to choose which one you want first! Rounding out the menu is a traditional Low Country Boil with shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes, as well as slow-cooked, award-winning BBQ from Make MMM Squeal BBQ. Sip on specialty cocktails, ice cold beers, wine tastings and more. Local beverage partners include fan favorites like Florida Avenue Brewing Company and Carte Blanche Wines.
Feeling extra fancy? The Diamond Experience includes everything from the Pearl Experience as well as early event entry (12:00pm) and access to the exclusive Diamond Lounge. The Diamond Lounge includes additional premium food and beverage selections, and front row access to our Celebrity Bartenders including Chief Meteorologist Denis Phillips, Bern’s Steak House owner Chrisi Laxer, NFL Hall of Famer William “Bar None” Floyd, Creative Loafing’s Ray Roa, Retired MLB player and Tampa Bay Rays broadcaster Orestes Destrade, and more! A portion of the proceeds from each Diamond Experience help to fund the Terri Ellison Teens in Action Scholarship Fund. The Teri Ellison Scholarship helps remove the financial barriers to accessing the essential emotional intelligence (EQ) training, volunteer opportunities and networking events that are part of the Frameworks Teens in Action program.
The 6th Annual Tampa Oyster Fest benefits Frameworks of Tampa Bay, a local non-profit dedicated to equipping all children in our community with the knowledge and know-how to become kind, collaborative and capable citizens. With the complex challenges kids face today, they work to provide positive and personalized learning experiences that develop emotional intelligence — the critical skills necessary to navigate any emotion, conversation or situation, no matter how difficult.
Frameworks empowers educators, parents/guardians and youth services professionals with training, coaching, and research-based resources to assist youth with emotional intelligence skills. Oyster Fest raises funds that allow Frameworks to continue to serve as Tampa Bay’s trusted partner for building Emotional Intelligence and preparing the next generation for success!
