PACE CENTER FOR GIRLS is a prevention program that caters specifically to the unique needs of girls. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for girls to learn, grow and develop. Pace helps girls find a new path for a better future.

THE MOST INSPIRING ASPECT of working at Pace is having the opportunity to be a part of each girl’s journey to success. It’s remarkable to watch girls gain the courage and strength needed to take on their own challenges, whatever those challenges may be — trauma, abuse, neglect, poverty, academic failure. Having the privilege to contribute to that process of growth and change is very inspiring and keeps me motivated at Pace.

MY FAVORITE PLACE FOR A BUSINESS LUNCH OR DINNER is Ulele. The menu caters to everyone, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is perfect. Their ice cream is made in house and is absolutely delightful!

WHEN I HAVE GUESTS VISITING FROM OUT OF TOWN, I take them to ZooTampa. Most of my guests have children, and there is nothing more fun for kids than a day at the zoo. ZooTampa has an amazing program with exciting shows and activities for children and adults of all ages.

I LOVE SUPPORTING women-owned businesses, especially those that give back to the community. Some of my favorites are Canvas Fashion Gallery in Hyde Park and Ella’s Americana Folk Art Café in Seminole Heights.

THE BEST PLACE FOR ME TO UNWIND IS WITH A BIKE RIDE OR WALK ON THE TAMPA RIVERWALK. Riding or walking that serene stretch on the Hillsborough River really helps me to clear my mind. It is also helpful that you are surrounded by great restaurants and eateries for a great afternoon or evening meal.

MY FAVORITE PLACE FOR BRUNCH IS THE OXFORD EXCHANGE. The food is delicious, organic, local and fresh! I really appreciate the service and atmosphere at the Oxford Exchange.

MY FAVORITE TAMPA HIDDEN GEM is Jerk Hut Caribbean restaurant. As an islander, I am always looking for authentic Caribbean food to keep me connected to my roots. Jerk Hut’s menu always does the trick. My favorite item on the menu is the Jamaican jerk chicken and sweet plantains.
