Cyber security company Ignyte Assurance Platform leads in automating governance, risk and compliance, specializing in the defense industry, healthcare and financial services.
CEO Max Aulakh founded Ignyte in 2012 in Dayton, Ohio, and special advisor Ryan Gutwein expanded it to Tampa in 2015. Both have extensive government experience.

Several doors have opened since Ignyte entered a five-year cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. Air Force in 2021. For example, in June Ignyte negotiated a license agreement with the U.S. Navy regarding an automated cybersecurity patent.
Another milestone, the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) recognized Ignyte as a designated third-party assessment organization in May. FedRAMP is how the government secures its cloud-based products and services.
This is a huge achievement for us,” COO Aaron McCray says. “We’re a digital-first audit firm that’s built on delivering automated, software-enhanced FedRAMP assessments. We’ve been on both sides of the audit process, we understand what it takes to make the journey as painless as possible.” Ignyte’s public and private clientele continue growing, including big names like global insurance company Ascot Group.
